ACMG Co-Founder/CEOs Thomas Shipley & Andrew Surwilo Named Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2011 New Jersey Award Finalists

ACMG today announced that for the second year in a row, their Co-Founder/CEOs Thomas Shipley and Andrew Surwilo are Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2011 New Jersey Award finalists. According to Ernst & Young LLP, the awards program recognizes entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas as innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their businesses and communities. Messieurs Surwilo and Shipley were selected as finalists from nearly 50 nominations by a panel of independent judges. Award winners will be announced at a special gala event on June 23, 2011 at the Teaneck Marriott at Glenpointe.

Brekford ($BFDI) Solid First Quarter Announcement Points to Strong Second Half $XRX

Brekford Corp announced on Tuesday that it recorded solid first quarter results, providing clues for second half financial results. Looking past Tuesday’s announcement, investors can look forward to - potentially - a strong second half.

Revenues are expected to accelerate in the second half of 2012, as a result of previously announced contracts with the municipalities of Greenbelt and Denton, MD and Rivera Beach, FL. All of which will begin to contribute to the Company’s top line and add to the Company’s base business.

The Company’s profitability is forecasted to increase significantly in the second half. 1 Make your press release newsworthy. Follow the inverted pyramid rule and put the most important information first, followed by less important in ascending order.

2. Make sure that you send your press release to relevant sources only. Don’t copy and paste from list of reporters and send your release to everyone on the list. This would be the waste of time and looks very unprofessional. It is always a good idea to contact a media outlet.

3. It is important that you come across editor’s attention. They would only read first two or three sentences and decide whether they would want to publish this news or not.


4. It is important to format your text for publication. This means you need to have contact info at the top of the page, short sentences and double spaced paragraphs.

5. As you would sending your press release to big publication, It is important to tell the editor how your news is more relevant and newsworthy than the other stack of press releases on their desk.

6. It is advisable to back up your statement with an evidence. Reporters want to have sources and if you get one source for your publication. This would be great. If you are publishing a survey, them summarize your results and get quotes from key experts.

7. It is beneficial, if you could follow up the editor. Just put a check whether they are receiving emails from your side or not. Just a call from your side can actually initiate a process of publishing your press release in their newswire.
